As human beings, we are obligated to be causal observers in life. Most are passive but some try to reach out and touch it. It's in that touching, we begin to interact and be active with the adventures life offers. As a writer, I am attempting to do just that and understand life as an active observer.

I hope you, dear reader, will join me.

ABOUT SKYLAR

Skylar Muse is a writer pursuing her MFA at Wilkes University. In her time as a student, she completed a memoir and several short stories that followed the inspiration from Ray Bradbury’s edict that “the good writers touch life often.” Skylar continues to pursue her passion in exploring how life affects those around her through blog posts and one-sided conversations with her dog, Bryce. She lives in North Carolina where you can find her doodling ampersands in the margins of a journal while reading her latest find from the bookstore.

Taking a cue from Bradbury, click here to see how Skylar is reaching out to touch life. Whether it's a conversation with herself or it’s thoughts for what God’s been doing that week, you are guaranteed to find amusement in whatever she’s been brooding about (along with some light-hearted self-deprecation thrown in the mix).
